The reason I talk about Ibuprofen curing a headache is that the atheist most likely has never engaged in the necessary scientific experiments to conclusively prove that not only will ibuprofen cure headaches, but that it will cure his *own* headaches in a given situation, yet he still takes Ibuprofen because you've read and been told that Ibuprofen will cure your headaches, and, having tried it for yourself, you've found it to be true for you so far. Christians believe in God for the same reason.

Whether or not I show you the baseball is completely irrelevant. If I actually do have a baseball, and I tell you I have it (and lots of my friends and your friends support my testimony), and you stubbornly refuse to believe that I have it, then to the rest of us you look rather like a fool. In fact, Christians have been offering not only to show, but to GIVE the "baseball" that is a relationship with Jesus Christ to their atheist friends for generations, and the atheists, who apparently have absolutely no motivation not to accept it, have consistently refused to consider that the baseball even exists. And to that I say, "have it your way, wise guy. You keep your 'rational enlightenment' and I'll keep my baseball."

As for atheists relying on "silly word-game arguments" to try and "prove" the non-existence of God, I have to say that there is little else to stand on. I've never heard an argument in favor of God's "nonexistence" that wasn't a silly word game or some elaborately concocted straw-man (such as the problem of evil which falsely presupposes that Christian's believe in an "omni-benevolent" God.)

Similarly, you take things on a certain amount of well-considered "faith" on a regular basis... to say answering questions about whether or not God exists until you personally have seen undeniable proof of the fact is an approach that the atheist doesn't take to any other belief he happens to hold, whether it's the idea that men have landed on the moon or ibuprofen will cure your headache, you have to believe *something*, or you would be an extremely dysfunctional individual.

The end times are near, eh Abe?

C'mon man, people have been saying that since the dawn of time. How many times have the 7th Day Adventists been wrong? It was comical after like the 2nd time, now it's just sad.

Sorry man! End times aren't coming, enjoy life.

Abraham, Atheists do not rely upon silly word-game arguments to try to "prove" the non-existence of God. While it is an interesting thought exercise for an Atheist to debate the existence of God while submitting to certain assumptions (in simple terms, debating the existence of God through his supposed characteristics as defined by a particular religion or belief system and attempting to point out the conflicting and illogical parts in that system), it is not relevant to try to answer questions like this at all.

Rather the burden of proof lies COMPLETELY upon the believer. In short, if you tell me you have a baseball, and I ask "Show me this baseball." and you simply continue to describe the baseball and its supposed effects (the baseball could break that window over there given the right circumstances, the baseball looks like this, etc. etc.) you still have not proven that your baseball exists by any means.

Thus, trying to use logic and word games to answer simple questions like this proves nothing, as they are irrelevant.

Now, flying spaghetti monster. He's omnipotent. I swear it.

Hope you're doing well Abe.

Immanuel Kant has some good stuff to say about this. The reason that people can even invent these supposed quandaries in the first place is that they're trying to take the rules of our empirical, space-time reality and place those same rules on things (i.e. a supreme being who defines space-time itself) that are totally inapplicable.

So, in other words, he's saying that you don't really even need to answer the questions because there is no coherent question. If you're going to answer the questions, though - I think those are definitely the right answers.

Oh, there's *not* a lot of THIS kind of stuff out there. :D At least not something that's being implemented as effectively as this. But you're right, the only missing piece here is for a specific person to step up and say "I will make all this happen." What disturbs me the most isn't the "one world government", it's the "one world religion" - what Michael Youssef calls the ABC (Anything But Christianity) religion.

Yeah, there's a lot of this kind of stuff out there-- no conspiracy theory necessary. But of all the real-life cabal's in the world, none of them has garnered enough support yet to throw the earth's axis off tilt yet. Just a couple of other examples include the North American Union and the North American Super Highway thingy that Ron Paul likes to rant about. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The Kyoto Treaty. The sheer number of such radical (albeit impotent) efforts is more of cause for concern than the actual authority of any one of them. The rate at which these things are cropping up is just a symptom of the fact that people are increasingly eager to embrace a unified, powerful, anti-moral world order. And THAT has yet to be seen...

Ok, I don't often really get offended at things anymore, but this is...this is sick and wrong and..the Ark of Hope makes me really mad!

This makes me want to do something, and I can't think of anything at all to do. In lieu of that, it makes me want to go off and hide in some small village in Africa or South America where changes will take much longer to occur. It's both enraging and frightening; especially the part about it being used in education. It makes me sick.
